Apple Pearl Barley Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
1/4 ounces of butter
Grated lemon rind
2 ounces sugar
1 pound apples; cored, pared & finely-chopped
1/2 pound pearl-barley
Three pints water
Instructions:
Have barley soaked overnight then boil w/ three pints water about 3 hrs. Once tender, you add apples, rind & sugar. You pour this mixture onto greased bake dish then top w/ butter bits. Bake about 60 mins.
