Arrow Root Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
4 c of arrow root
2 pint milk (cold)
Cinnamon; broken
Bitter-flavored almonds
6 lightly-beaten eggs
1/4 lb powdered sugar (white)
Nutmeg (grated)
Grated lemon peel
Preserved peach; sliced
Instructions:
Dissolve arrowroot in 1 pint milk. You boil remaining milk w/ almonds & cinnamon. Once done, you strain over dissolved arrowroot. Stirring ’til batter is thickened & smoothened. Cool.
Stir beaten eggs into batter lightly then add sugar gradually. Add lemon peel & nutmeg. Pour mixture onto greased dish then bake for 60 mins.
Garnish w/ preserved peach slices as desired.
