Bird Nest Pudding Recipe I

Ingredients:

6 medium apples; pared & cored
1/2 lemon rind
Sugar
1 qt milk
5 large eggs
A pint water
2 ounces sugar
Almond extract

Instructions:

Boil apples in water then add lemon peel, vanilla & sugar ’til softened. Have apples removed from saucepan then place of pie plate excluding syrup.

Have milk heated then add well-beaten eggs. Add sugar as desired. Pour this custard all over apples then bake ’til custard sets.
