Bread Pudding Recipe III
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 c breadcrumbs
1 pint sweetened milk
2 eggs; separated
1/2 c sugar
Lemon peel; grated
Raisins
1/2 c powdered sugar
Instructions:
Soak crumbs into milk about 30 mins. Beat eggyolks w/ sugar then add lemon peel. Add into crumb mixture. Throw in rasins then pour onto greased pudding-dish. Bake it in moderately-heated oven for 30 mins.
Beat eggwhites ’til stiffened then add 1/2 c powdered-sugar gradually. Beat lightly then spoon above pudding. Put bake in oven, heating ’til browned lightly.
Best when served w/ whipping cream.
