Here are the ingredients:
1/2 pkg Egg noodles (large-sized)
1/2 stick of margarine/butter
1 pc egg
Golden/regular raisins
Sugar
Apples; chopped (optional)
Oven-proof casserole dish
Instructions:
Cook noodles until al dente and set them aside. Melt your butter inside your oven-proof dish. Place all your noodles inside a large bowl then add in 1/2 of melted margarine/butter.
Beat egg then add this on your noodles and make sure to toss them well together to have all your noodles coated with the beaten egg. Next, add in raisins & sugar then if you want the sliced apples as well.
Stir everything well then adjust taste according to how you prefer it. Pour noodle mixture onto your lightly buttered/greased casserole deep dish. Put inside your oven and bake for half an hour at around 350 deg. Fahrenheit or until it turns out crusty and golden brown. Custard Noodle Pudding
Ingredients:
1/2 pound wide noodles
4 eggs
8 ounces cottage cheese
8 ounces sour cream
1/4 cup ( 1/2 stick) butter/margarine, melted and cooled slightly
1 1/4 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup apricot preserves
3/4 cup golden/regular raisins
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions:
Set oven at around 350 deg. F. Lightly grease a 9-by-13-by-2-inch baking dish. Boil noodles according to the directions on the package then drain into your colander. Rinse with cool water.
Inside a large bowl, whisk 2 of the eggs. Whisk in cottage cheese, sour cream, melted butter/margarine, 1/4 cup milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir in apricot preserves & raisins. Stir in noodles. Transfer mixture to the prepared dish.
In another medium bowl, whisk together the remaining 2 eggs and 1 cup of milk. Pour this evenly over your noodle mixture. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar then sprinkle on top of your kugel. Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes or until a thin knife inserted into its center comes out clean.
