Chocolate Pudding Recipe III

Ingredients:

1/2 chocolate cake
1 qt milk
4 tsps cornstarch
3 eggs; separated
1 & 1/2 c sugar
Vanilla

Instructions:

Combine broken cake & milk in pan. Heat together ’til boiling. You remove it from fire. Combine sugar, eggyolks & cornstarch, stir well then add into cake-milk mixture.

Stir thoroughly ’til mixture thickens then add vanilla. You pour mixture into prepared pudding dish.

You beat eggwhites ’til stiff & frothy, adding some sugar. You cover your pudding w/ prepared meringue then bake in oven ’til set & browned lightly. Best when served cold.
