Plum Pudding Recipe I
Ingredients:
Small bread loaf
1 c suet; finely-shredded
6 eggs; separated
1 c currants
1 c of seeded raisins
1/2 c finely-shredded citron
3/4 c syrup
1 wineglass brandy
1 c flour; sifted
Instructions:
Have bread soaked. Squeeze out extra liquid then add suet, eggyolks, currants, raisins, citron, syrup, brandy & flour.
Beat eggwhites ’til frothy & stiff then lightly mix into previous mixture. Pour into greased melon-mould then boil for 4 hrs.
