Rhubarb Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

Stale ryebread; grated
1 bunch rhubarb; finely cut w/ skins intact
1 pinch baking soda
Boiled water
Sugar (brown)
Nuts
Cinnamon

Instructions:

Place rhubarb into pan together w/ baking soda, pouring boiled water enough to have mixture covered. While mixture steeps slowly, have ryebread grated into greased pudding pan.

Spread crumbs evenly over pan ’til 1/4-inch deep. Top w/ 1/2 well-drained rhubarb then season w/ sugar, nuts & cinnamon. Repeat layering ending w/ crumbs. Dot w/ butter on top. Have it baked ’til done.
