Treacle Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
Short-crust
Golden-syrup
Breadcrumbs
Lemon peel; grated
Pastry
Instructions:
Have pudding lined w/ crust. Combine separately breadcrumbs, lemon peel & syrup. Stir well. Pour a thin layer syrup mixture into pudding pan’s bottom then cover w/ pastry layer.
Pour mixture over pastry, repeating layers ’til mould has been filled. Top w/ pastry then tie w/ floured cloth. Boil about 3 hrs.
